In this city.We run free.
Came out of hibernation yesterday. Four days worth of getting cooped up at home was more than what this little body can take. Though, I would say staying at home once in a while is indeed refreshing after a very long holiday. Started off the day with a little picnic by the Groynes and we saw a one legged duck! -which I may add seemed to understood that we favored him over his two-legged companions. The picnic ended abruptly because of the rain and we made our way back to Tabs place for some blogsurfin’ and later, an amazing meal at Joyful. I swear that place has got to be one of the best Chinese restaurants in Christchurch. We then headed off to try out a Korean bar in downtown Christchurch called Doll+i for some yoghurt Soju. The little bar was situated snugly in Poplar Lane-which is distinctively indie and certainly less commercialized than its sister SOL square. We were led up to the attic level of the Bar and we had amazing views of Poplar Lane. I was so thankful that I decided to bring my trusty camera along with me. Scattered around Poplar Lane would be little NYC-like lofts that people can rent. Just right across from where we were sitting were a group of guys that looked like they jumped right out an alternative Indie band cover who were enjoying the evening on their Balcony. Hot! We had a great time that night basking in the atmosphere that we were surrounded in and we all had a great time chatting the night away about our recent Summer escapades.
