I’m finally back  from Singapore and had an incredible sent off by the most brilliant of friends and my brother, Justin. I had lots of time to reflect and reminisce about my trip while on the plane. This trip has been a different one. I’ve forged so many new friendships and re-affirmed many. If you are reading this ruth, you will and always be my best friend and you know that you’ll always have me despite the distance. The 10 hour flight from Singapore to NZ might seem like a really long one but time and distance have not proven to have strained our friendship one bit! And that tells a lot! Love you lots and will be missing you while I’m here. Stay strong and you always know who to call .:) Sherman and Roy. who knew that our friendship would’ve blossomed during this trip despite our brief encounter during your stay in Christchurch last year. I was dressed up all geeky for that party and you guys were all decked out in flannel.Haha. You two are such fine examples of how men should be. Confident, passionate, ambitious, outgoing, deep, intelligent and you know the list would go on. It was fun times hanging out prawning, going to the zoo and the night safari, makan-ing all over Singapore, meeting all your monash buddies, sentosa etc. I will miss you two soo much now that we can’t hang out as regularly as we did. I wouldn’t  And to Cai Ling, I would miss you and your distinctive Cai humour and cute-ness! Had fun with you during my time here and its a real shame we couldn’t hang out a lot more :( . Remember the merlion man and katong laksa? And not forgetting JJ! Ha!

And to my family back in Singapore,it was great seeing how much all of you have grown up and changed. I wouldn’t blame you for scrutinizing our family and commenting on how much we’ve changed either because we went overseas. However, some of my beloved cousins might have pushed the line a wee bit too far this time. I know you are young and still learning. But, the things that I’ve heard that have been going on behind our backs was very disappointing. I am also hurt in the way some of you have been treating me. You know that I am  your friend but there still have to been some form of respect between our big age-gap. I know that this trip has been centered around friends and that I regretted not spending my weekends with you. Missing someone or loving them to add , does not need to be articulated. Don’t feel left out or angry just because I did not express it. Despite all this, I would still call my trip back to Singapore a success. I will miss it dearly and I can’t wait to plan my next trip back. Will continue to love all of you dearly, both family and friends. Lots of love , all the way from the land of the long white cloud, Chrislynn.
